When Lightning Strikes, by Meg Cabot

Jess Mastriani is not an ordianry teenager. She spends her lunchtime in detentions, is saving up for a motorbike and never wears skirts. Then, on ordinary afternoon, she is sheltering from a storm in a bleacher when it is hit by lightning and Jess- who is leaning against the metal pole- is also struck.
